MISO SABLEFISH (BLACK COD)~JAPANESE STYLE

A TASTY JAPANESE SIGNATURE DISH

Ingredients:

  1- 2-3 pieces of black cod or seabass (about 1 1/2 pounds)  2-3 shallots

Seasoning:

  1- Mirin 120ml   Sake 120ml  Japanese Rice Vinegar  100ml

  2-White Miso paste  2 tbsp   Brown sugar  3 tbsp

STEPS:

1- mix well all seasoning, marinate the cod or sea-bass pieces in a bowl at least 3-4 hours

2-take out the fish and strain , pat dry and set aside.

3-Take marinate juice and slimmer on the strove until it turns into a sauce like consistency

Keep boiling until the sauce is thick

4-Preheat oven 450 f

Hot pan with oil,saute shallots,dish up and set aside

Fry the cod pieces with skin down for 1 minute

Flip gently and fry 1 more minute, then put the pan in the oven and bake 3 minutes

Put 2-3 tbsp  sauce on top of fish to make it brown in the oven (5-8 minutes)

When cooked, plate fish and pour remaining sauce,serve hot with rice and desire veggies
