Potato Pancake...popular side dish on St.Patrick Day..Irish and German .
Ingredients: servings- 4-5pieces
Preparation time- 20-25 mins
Cooking time- 10-15 mins
1: potato. 1
2: egg 1
3: onion. 1
4: self-raising cake / pastry flour. 1/3
5: glutinous rice flour. 1/4 cup
(糯米粉)
6: homo milk/cream 1/2 cup
7: green onion Some.
8:pepper and salt to taste
Steps:
1: whisk egg with milk, add dash of garlic salt,combine with flour and rest 15-20 mins
2: a- shredded onion, and chopped green shallot, set aside.
b- peel potato, grate potato over cheese cloth, drain all water instantly and pour into egg batter, add shredded onion and green shallot.
c-Mix all well and set aside.
3: Rinse oil from a hot non sticky pan, with medium high heat pour or scoop batter onto the frying pan.
4: fry 1 min to set one side, flip over, then use a spatula to flatten the top, and fry 2-3 mins until both sides turn golden. ( use a skewer to make sure it is cooked. )
5: dish up and pat dry with paper towel to avoid greasiness, sprinkle with green onion .
6: serve hot with sour cream .
